AES Systems is the engineer, as well as the supplier, of the video network, which will be used to monitor the processing and treatment of the radioactive waste in the Hanford Waste Treatment Facility. The system is controlled via a computer based Graphic User Interface (GUI) which seamlessly integrates the various system components and allows full operation of all the cameras from any of several workstations.

System

The video network consists of digital video recorders, which allow for thousands of hours of process recording and playback, matrix switching equipment, allowing all system cameras to be viewed on hundreds of monitors, fiber optics, allowing high speed communication over large distances, and a computer based Graphic User Interface (GUI) which combines the strengths of all of the products made by different manufacturers into one powerful package.
